Chiranjeevi’s confidants are trying to woo Left parties even before the filmstar announced the launch of his political party. They organised a state-level youth convention on Friday at Sundarayya Vignana Kendram, the convention centre of the CPI(M). The star’s associates who have been organising various awareness camps for all sections of society, had strategically chosen Sundarayya Vignana Kendram, where Left parties’ programmes are held.
The aides of Chiranjeevi felt that the support of Left parties was needed in order to give a tough competition to the ruling Congress and the opposition party, Telugu Desam, since both the parties have strong political bases all over the state. This was a clear indication to the Leftists that the actor’s party was keen to have alliances with them. Incidentally, both the parties, CPI and CPI(M) have recently made it clear that they were ready to have a tie-up with Chiranjeevi’s party if the film actor was ready to respect their ideologies.
Meanwhile, the CPI(M) also mentioned that the recent alliance with the Telugu Desam was limited to the bypolls and the future course of action would only be decided after observing the following political equations. They said that the entire political scenario will change once the mega star Chiranjeevi launches his party.
