Vikram is all set to make his Bollywood debut with Mani Ratnam's next, starring Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan. Vikram always wanted to work with Mani Sir and they had discussed the possibility of working together on many occasions, but their plans never materialized.
“After Guru, Mani Ratnam is now working on a contemporary intense drama, which also has romance as its integral part. He thought it would be a good idea to cast Vikram opposite Aishwarya Rai and called Vikram for a narration. Mani Sir signed him on a few days ago,” said a source.
The source further says, "Vikram is excited about working in a Hindi film, that too with Aishwarya Rai. He understands that this is the best Bollywood launch for him." The film goes on the floors in September.
